Help Us Update Our Multicultural Exhibit
The Lac La Biche Museum is updating our Multicultural Exhibit, and we would love your help.
Our community has been shaped by generations of people from many cultures, each with their own stories, traditions, and experiences. Through this exhibit, we hope to share more of these histories and better reflect the diversity of the Lac La Biche region.
We are currently looking for cultural items, photographs, documents, and recorded stories that help tell the story of your culture’s presence in the Lac La Biche region.
What We Are Looking For
At this time, we are especially seeking materials connected to the heritage of:
- Black and African cultures
- British Isles
- China
- Cree
- French Canadians
- Germany
- Indian cultures
- Italy
- Lebanon
- Métis
- Philippines
- Russian Old Believers
- Scandinavian cultures
- Ukraine
How You Can Contribute
Original items are very welcome, but they are not the only way to contribute.
We are also happy to:
- Scan photographs while you keep the originals
- Copy family documents, letters, or other records
- Record your stories or memories
- Discuss possible donations with you before any decision is made
Whether you have an object, a photograph, a family story, or information about local cultural history, your contribution can help us tell a richer and more complete story of the Lac La Biche region.
