
Lac La Biche Explorers
The Lac La Biche Explorers program is a monthly program designed to provide a fun hands-on learning experience rooted in history. It is designed for children of all ages (or the young at heart) so bring the whole family! Topics will vary throughout the year.

- Time: Saturdays from 3-4pm at the Lac La Biche Museum

Schedule
- October 25: Carving Traditions – Learn about the history of carving gourds and vegetables. Create your own Jack-O-Lantern or Turnip carving. Ages 6+
- November 15: Photography – Explore vintage cameras from our collection, improve your photography skills, and learn how museums document their exhibits. Check out our Lac La Biche Inn Christmas photo booth. All ages welcome!
- December 13: Light the Night – Discover historic methods of lighting and create your own candle shade to take home. Ages 6+
- January 18 – Tracks and Scat – Animals have invaded the museum! Join our guided discovery session and identify them like a true tracker. Ages 6+
- February 8 – Window Decorating Craft Fun – Discover stained glass traditions with a painted window-look-alike project. All ages welcome!
- March 14 – All Things Yarn Workshop – View vintage crochet lace and enjoy a fun yarn-based craft session. All ages welcome!

A partner program to the Lac La Biche Explorers program, How Things Were offers a hands-on look at historical traditions, crafts, and daily life.
